MAN!!! I have the FASTEST longarmer in the west (and probably EAST for that matter!!). I took her these 3 quilts (all whose pix have been previously posted) just last week and she emails me yesterday....they're DONE!! GOOD GRIEF! But I was VERY happy to take them off her hands. Now I gotta get busy binding!
HA

And now I know you probably can't discern one from the next but there are ELEVEN of these cute little rag quilts that will be going off to our county hospital before too long. I LOVE buying the flannel for these puppies and my little bee helps me get them all sewn up for some little baby to snuggle in. I wanted to get a photo of them all before I take them to guild tomorrow and pass them off to our community service representative.

I FORGOT (?!!) to take a picture of my dgd, Reni, with the rag quilt I made her for Christmas!! So I had her dad bring it over today when he came to pick her up so I could take the picture and show everyone. I LOVE the bright colors (think she does, too) and she says she loves it! I think that just about takes care of everyone in the family now. They ALL have their rag quilts.
I had the honor of presenting one of the Home of the Brave quilts that our little quilting bee at church did. The grandmother of the widow was accepting it on her behalf as she's expecting in a couple of weeks and didn't feel up to it. I've assisted in making several of these and I still LOVE the way they turn out. They're all SO pretty and, if you're not familiar with the Home of the Brave project, visit http://www.homeofthebravequilts.com/ for additional information. It's an awesome tribute to our fallen heroes.

Almost finished!

Almost finished the "Oklahoma Backroads" from Bonnie Hunter's site (www.quiltville.com). Just need to get the backing together and it's going to Julie for her finishing touch. I'm thinking as busy as it is, all that's needed is a cute little all-0ver pantograph. This was made totally from my stash (mostly from leftover scraps though I'm not yet into Bonnie's scrap saver system) and then found the purple for the border in the stash as well. I LOVE it and have another of Bonnie's patterns (Pineapple Blossom) as another stash quilt I'd like to do this year.

The plan is to make 5-6 quilts totally from my stash this year, finish 5 UFO's and make up 2 of the kits I have on hand. Doesn't leave me much time to do anything, does it?! HA

Yesterday was my birthday and my friend, Patty, made me the cutest little bag!! She used all Jo Morton fabrics (one of our favorite fabric designers!) and did a FABULOUS job! THANK YOU, Patty Pooh!
