Another couple of rows

I've gotten two more rows (of row by row fame) to the nearly completed stage.  There's just a little over a week left for rowing and I am SO thankful for that as I've spent far too much time on the computer and far too much money on the rows..UGH!!  If I finish some into quilts, it won't be too bad but that didn't happen last year.  :-(

The top row is from Seeley Lake, MT and will be for my mountain row quilt.  The bottom is from Austin, TX.  It's hard to discern in the picture but the 'pink' bldg. is the state capitol and the bats and bridge.  Guess the musical notes represent the SXSW they have every year, the lone star (state) and of course Texas barbeque!!  I have several Texas rows so guess I'll be havin' me a Texas quilt, too!  LOL

Three latest

Here are my three latest 'finishes' (the RV row is only fused, middle is partially stitched and bottom, which I know many have already seen, it completely done!). Love them all!!

Four years

SO hard to believe it's been four years since he left.  Often it seems so hard to remember him..his voice, his laugh, just having him in the same room.  Yet also there are so many great memories, wonderful time together and places we visited.  I still miss him so much and wish he hadn't left so soon.  He was so strong and determined and could do just about anything.  But that damn tumor was more than he could overcome.  The photo was taken the day before his first brain surgery, when all the males in the family had their heads shaved to support their dad and uncle.  Look at that smile--I so miss it!

Row By Row

Anyone out there in the madness?  I did it last year on a swap group and got rows from ALL OVER the place.  Most of them are still in their little packages :-( .  I swore at the end of last year's that I was NOT going to do it this year.  SOMETHING (don't remember what) sucked me in and that was all she wrote.  The first few I bought just because I liked them and then I saw someone's quilt they were working on done all in mountain rows--so I headed that direction.  Then there were so many cute RV rows and we had two trailers and one motorhome and traveled ALL OVER the US and had so much fun doing it.  So then I started searching out RV rows.  In addition to those two themes, I also started on space rows which, if it ever gets done, will be for my #2 son.  The main theme of row by row this year is home (sweet home, I think) and there are several cute door rows and lots of bee rows.  Craziness, I tell ya!

Anyway, here are the first two I've fused (but not yet stitched)...

the top is one of those that I just liked (and actually drove over to Dallas to pick it up!).  The 2nd will go in my mountain quilt..LOVE it!!
