Zipping by

It's so easy (especially here in Texas since we don't see much of it) to go zipping by the fall colors when rushing from one place to another.  I was coming back from the grocery store and as I rounded the bend, I spotted this one tree with color up ahead.  I slowed and snapped a picture (don't worry, it's a back road and not heavily traveled).  I'm sure we'll see more as it cools off (eventually) but for now, this is one of the few I've noticed.

I noticed leaves are just barely starting to turn. This is when I miss being in the Midwest.

Beautiful! I, too, am tempted to stop and snap photos; thank you for sharing the autumn beauty that surrounds you, too soon it will be gone for another year.
