I saw this on Pinterest the other day (Pinterest is the devil! LOL) and liked the idea so naturally had to get busy...sigh. I've gotten all the sections sewn (but have to do another because of a miscut--ARGH) and need to sew, cut the 9 patches and arrange. It's basically a Thanksgiving quilt so at least maybe it will be ready for NEXT year!!

The leaf pile is growing. And so is the pumpkin patch (but I'm just posting the leaf pile!! LOL).
I've posted about the QAL a couple of times but don't think I've ever mentioned where it's located just in case you'd like to join as well. Carole shares so much on her blog, stuff beyond quilting and pictures of her beautiful surroundings in the mountains. She made a fantastic candle holder out of natural stuff (wood, pinecones, etc) that won a blue ribbon at the fair!!

Here are the first of the next step in the quilt along I'm participating in. I can just put the first two steps together and make a wall hanging for my entryway. I have my pumpkin quilt that I hang in the living room every year and another that I've hung in the entryway before so it's not like there's NOTHING for the entryway but this would be a change. I could also make it into a throw so we'll see where it goes. Also have LOTS of parts for more leaves but they still need trimming (NOT my favorite part..UGH).

On a few different projects..trying to get some QOV's to the longarm stage which means I have a couple of backings to make. Then I started on another QOV top and also fell for a QAL! Why do I DO that?!!! Sure hope I like what's ultimately being made with the products of the QAL and, if not, they're so cute (so far) that I can put them together into something I DO like!! :-) Here's what I've made so far--

Dug this out of the UFO pile as I NEED to get some finishes!! This is one of Bonnie Hunter's free patterns and I LOVE it!! It will be a Quilt of Valor and the plan is to give it to one of the many vets in my Sunday School class. I have two more blocks to go and everything's already sewn together except that last row I decided to add on.
I am totally befuddled though as I have so many of the blocks that go in the same direction when I need the opposite direction. When you're making these, you have a pair so it should kinda wind up equal (I don't know if all this is making any sense) but I have several that all go the same direction so when finished, I'll need to figure out something to do with those. Maybe I'll play with a table runner.

I have been having some issues with my phone and computer not talking very well since the most recent iPhone update. I HATE it when that happens!! But, thanks to my computer genius son, I THINK maybe it's about fixed. I still had to jump through hoops so to speak to get to the point of being able to upload so hopefully that won't happen every time! But I did want to show a few little rows I've half finished (still not stitched but fused so that 1/2 counts, right?!).
